Workboats of the West Coast

These photos are of various ages. Some were taken on film 30 or more years ago, some were taken with very early digital cameras, you can tell by the resolution. These images document a dying way of life and are a testament to watermen and women of BC's West Coast.

  • My brother-in-law's 75 foot fish packer on the Fraser River near Steveston. It was swamped and sank while loading salmon off of Vancouver Island about six months later.
